Privacy policy
This policy explains how Group Alba Nova Limited (“AlbaNova”, “we”) collects and uses personal data when you use this website or get in touch with us. We are the data controller. Group Alba Nova Limited is registered in Scotland, company number SC838019. You can contact us about privacy at hello@alba-nova.com.
What we collect
- When you request an Operations Audit: your name, work email, firm, role, firm size, the areas and systems you select and anything you write about your processes.
- When you book a time: the details you give our calendar provider (Google Calendar), such as your name, email and chosen slot.
- When you email us: your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- When you browse: anonymous, aggregated usage and performance data (pages viewed, referrer, device type, country). This does not use cookies and does not identify you.
- Only if you accept marketing cookies: a conversion measurement tag records that someone who saw our advertising went on to request an audit.
How we use it, and on what basis
- To reply to you, prepare for and run your audit, and send your written summary: our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you made, or steps prior to entering a contract.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it: our legitimate interest, using anonymous data only.
- To measure our advertising: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run the business, each under contract to protect your data:
- Vercel, which hosts this website and provides cookie-free analytics
- Google, for email and calendar booking
- Our workflow automation platform, which routes enquiries to us
- Twilio SendGrid, as a backup for delivering enquiry notifications
- OpenAI, for advertising measurement, only if you accept marketing cookies
Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and audit records for up to two years after our last contact, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep business records for as long as the law requires (usually six years).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@alba-nova.com and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
